Tea Party Themed Birthday Mar 20 Written By marium hamdani During the COVID outbreak it was very difficult to plan any event and invite guests. I had my daughter’s first birthday planned on a grand scale. One week before booking the party venue NY state put restrictions for large events. Despite the COVID outbreak I wanted to do something special for her birthday so we had virtual a party. My main focus was to create a backdrop for photos. I opted to go for a garden tea party theme. Backdrop assembly was very simple. The grass backdrop comes in square pieces that could easily be assembled. Instead of using backdrop stand, I used command strips to stick the entire background. The most time consuming part for this project was the paper flowers. Although you can easily purchase pre-made flowers off of Etsy pages I found them very costly. I decided to watch a couple of youtube tutorials and learned to make them on my own. I was able to make all of the flowers in less than $15. I decided to splurge on the crockery and decided to use real bone china tea set and platters to make the setup look more fancy. To give the table pieces more height I used clear plastic height racks. All the food was homemade except for the sugar cookies and cake. Tip: to save money on cake you can order naked cake like I did and add fresh flowers to make it look chic. I was happy with the overall design. Most things were ordered off of amazon. If you are interested in any recipes of food items from this picture comment :) marium hamdani
